Factory Build Slots
Knight International has developed a sales agreement between a buyer and seller, that protects both sides including the seller's valuable VIP Status with the manufacturer. All sales are secured through our lawyer who can also provide insurance for added security. Please note that our lawyers hold all the original documents as proof of purchase, so you can buy with confidence. Build Slot Frequently Asked Questions
Below are our most common questions, if you can not find the answer you are looking for, please contact us directly and we will be pleased to answer your questions

01 Is buying a build slot safe
We at Knight International specialize in selling build slots, we have a strict due diligence procedure on the buyer and seller, to satisfy us, that the buyer and seller are genuine, this includes I.D, company and social media searches, etc. Our Lawyer requests all the original documents and invoices from the manufacturer. We also provide a Non-Disclosure Agreement for both parties to sign, prior to sending out any sensitive information.
02 When do I pay the premium
The point of selling a car during the build process is for the seller to earn a premium on the car without waiting for the car to be delivered, this also benefits the buyer as they get the car at a lower premium when the car becomes physical. The premium is paid upon signing the agreement with our lawyers, this also includes the reimbursement of the deposit and any other stage payments paid to the manufacturer by the owner. Note, that signing the agreement is only done after the buyer and seller are completely satisfied with the terms and each other.
03 Do I pay the manufacturer
Once the buyer signs the sales agreement and pays the premium to the seller through our lawyers, and reimbursed any deposit that the seller has paid to the manufacturer, there may be more stage payments to be made to the manufacturer. These are called stage payments, these payments must be paid by the seller in their name or on behalf of the seller. Our lawyers can handle these payments and provide a copy of the receipt from the manufacturer. In some circumstances, your own lawyer can make these stage payments.
04 Can I collect the car
Yes, you can collect the car yourself, but it's important to know, that the car must be delivered in the original owner's name, so you would be collecting the car on behalf of the original owner. In most cases, once you have taken delivery of the car, you can register it in your name, however, when the car needs a service or if there has been a recall or accident and the car needs to be sent to the manufacturer dealership, this should always be on behalf of the original owner's name until the end of the restriction period.
05 Can the car be sent to another country
In most cases, the car needs to be collected from the dealership where the original owner resides, however, this doesn't usually apply to cars that are ordered in Asia, they can be sent to most countries that the original owner request. Once the car has been collected, the car can be shipped to another country.

06 Can I buy the car Net of tax
Most of the build slots we sell or on a Net of tax basis, this is to enable the buyer to pay the relevant tax in the country where they intend the car to be registered.

07 What will happen if the manufacturer cancels the car
Although this is extremely unlikely, the possibility is it can happen, so we have a clause in the agreement, in this event, a full refund from the seller to the buyer must take place within 10 working days of the notice.

08 Can I spec the car
In most cases, our build slots can be configured to the buyer's personal spec, many manufacturers have an online configurator, you simply choose your spec and submit it to us and we will get a cost for the options you have chosen. If the manufacturer doesn't have an online configurator, just let us know your requirements and we get a cost for these options if they are available.
